Act of transformation in response to a need. Change works to improve enterprise performance. Can be strategic, tactical, or operational.

🎯 NeedNhu cầu

A problem or opportunity to be addressed. Needs can cause changes, and changes can cause needs.

💡 SolutionGiải pháp

A specific way of satisfying one or more needs in a context. A solution satisfies needs in the context where it is implemented.

👥 StakeholderBên liên quan

A group or individual with a relationship to the change, the need, or the solution. Stakeholders are defined by their interest.

💎 ValueGiá trị

The worth, importance, or usefulness of something to a stakeholder within a context. Value can be tangible or intangible.

🌐 ContextBối cảnh

The circumstances that influence, are influenced by, and provide understanding of the change. Includes attitudes, behaviors, beliefs, culture, and agreements.

💡 Key: BA asks 6 questions: What changes? What needs? What solutions? Who are stakeholders? What do they value? What's the context? If any concept changes → re-evaluate all.

🏢 Business Requirements

Goals, objectives, outcomes mô tả WHY a change is initiated. Apply to whole enterprise, business area, or initiative.

👥 Stakeholder Requirements

Needs of stakeholders that must be met to achieve business requirements. Bridge giữa business & solution requirements.

⚙️ Solution Requirements

Capabilities & qualities of solution. Chia thành:
Functional — behavior & information
Non-functional (QoS) — conditions, qualities

🔀 Transition Requirements

Capabilities for transition from current → future state. Temporary — not needed once change complete. E.g.: data conversion, training, business continuity.

📋 Requirement vs Design

Requirement = usable representation of a NEED (what value if fulfilled).
Design = usable representation of a SOLUTION (how value realized if built).
BA continuously asks "why?"

🔑 Key Distinction

Requirements focus on need. Designs focus on solution. Same techniques used for both. A requirement leads to a design which may drive more requirements.

💡 Verify vs Validate: Verify = built correctly (meets specs/standards). Validate = built the right thing (delivers value, meets business need).
